On Easter, our daughter brought us some fresh cut lilies. When I put them in a vase they were a tangled mass of leaves and stems. So I organized them into a more even appearance by rearranging everything on paper. The result is a sense of order as the leaves and flowers in various stages of bloom flow along in the same general direction. I used three colors: Hookers green, turquoise and yellow. Watercolors on Arches paper.
